The White Throne

The Final Judgment & The Book of Life

A Cinematic Short Film From 2 Tree Studios
Created by J.P. Ray

A visually stunning, emotionally charged short film set at the end of time, The White Throne brings to life the awe and weight of the Final Judgment as described in Revelation. Billions witness as Paul, the first to stand trial before God, faces the eternal question. Is his name written in the Book of Life?

Logline

At the dawn of eternity, Paul becomes the first soul to stand before the White Throne of God, watched by all creation as heaven’s final judgment begins, and the fate of every soul is revealed.

Project Overview

The Final Judgment is no metaphor. It’s the cosmic court session where all creation gathers, angels, demons, and humanity from every age, to witness the unveiling of ultimate justice and mercy.

Paul, a humble man who spent a life wrestling with faith and failure, is the first to be judged. His life of repentance and devotion is weighed, word by word, against moments of despair and rebellion. In the presence of God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the entire host of heaven, Paul gives his final words before the Book of Life opens.

Yet beyond this single judgment looms the inevitable, Satan himself must take the stand. As the eternal courtroom awaits its most infamous defendant, the story explores redemption, divine justice, and the unshakable hope of the New Kingdom.

Visual Tone & World

The White Throne is portrayed as an infinite celestial courtroom, crystal-clear floors like a sea of glass floating above Earth, the throne glowing with unapproachable light, and the host of heaven stretching endlessly into the horizon.

The style blends stylized animation with cinematic realism, capturing both the divine awe of standing before God and the intimate vulnerability of one soul’s eternal reckoning. The visual tone is majestic yet intimate, cosmic in scale yet deeply human in emotion.
